After years of being the consummate sideman and musical collaborator for such artists as Roseanne Cash, Sheryl Crow, Buddy and Julie Miller, Willie Nelson, Doug Sahm, Tracy Chapman, Cyndi Lauper, kd lang and of course, Bob Dylan, Larry Campbell has completed his first solo recording "Rooftops" on Treasure Records. The record consists of 11 songs performed by Larry on acoustic guitar and reflect the broad and deep scope of Larry's musical passion.

"I suppose the common thread running through most of this album (with the exception of the two originals and "House Carpenter") is that these are all tunes that I originally learned on the fiddle. Playing fiddle tunes on solo guitar is certainly nothing new, but when you consider all the hoedowns, reels, jigs, rags, airs, waltzes etc. out there, it's pretty rich territory to mine.
